Symposium on Policy Impediments to
Cybercrime Data Exchange

March 15 & 16, 2018

The 2018 Symposium on Policy Impediments to eCrime Data Exchange will address cybersecurity regulations, laws, treaty conventions and interpretations that introduce roadblocks to sharing cybercrime event data.

This year’s program will focus extensively on the provisions of the EU's new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We will discuss how all sectors can not only comply with GDPR but also use its introduction as an opportunity to codify the exchange of cybercrime data for prevention, response and investigation while managing the GDPR’s requirements. In these two days, APWG will investigate how GDPR can provide a mechanism for mobilising data of benefit for all stakeholders charged with management of cybercrime.
